Nickel 201 Flanges Manufacturer & Exporter

This Nickel 201 / UNS N02201 page is intentionally separate from Nickel 200 because low-carbon grade identity and temperature context are part of the purchasing decision. Submit the approved source-material and flange route, drawing or dimensional standard, size, class, facing, bore, process conditions, inspection, certificate requirements, quantity, packing, and destination.

Engineering discussion

Context before component selection.

Low-carbon identity is the reason for a separate route

Nickel 201 is the low-carbon form of commercially pure wrought nickel and is considered where the carbon-related behavior of Nickel 200 at elevated temperature is a concern. The exact UNS designation, process envelope, and chemistry evidence should remain visible from RFQ through final marking.

Current B564 scope should not be overstated

The active ASTM B564 scope lists UNS N02200 for nickel forgings but does not list N02201. A Nickel 201 flange enquiry therefore needs an agreed source-material specification, manufacturing method, dimensions, mechanical and NDE acceptance, and documented engineering or purchaser approval.

Carbon verification deserves explicit planning

Handheld PMI may support nickel identity but may not establish the low-carbon requirement by itself. Define MTC chemistry review, heat traceability, source certificates, laboratory verification where required, marking, and TPI hold points so the N02201 designation is defensible at release.

Standards and release

Define the basis, then document it.

Material-product route

Current ASTM B564 scope lists UNS N02200 but not N02201. Define an engineering-approved source material, manufacturing route, tests, and acceptance basis for the Nickel 201 flange.

ASME or drawing dimensions

Dimensional conformity does not establish material conformity. State flange form, size, class, facing, bore, tolerances, and drawing while retaining the separate N02201 approval route.

Chemistry verification

Because low-carbon identity is central to Nickel 201, define how certificate chemistry, heat traceability, source material, and any independent verification will be accepted.

Applications and next steps

Connect the requirement to the right workflow.

Elevated-temperature chemical process reviews

Caustic and controlled-media piping enquiries

Food and high-purity equipment connections

Drawing-based low-carbon nickel components

Buyer questions

Frequently asked questions.

Is UNS N02201 listed in the current ASTM B564 forging scope?

No. The current scope lists N02200, not N02201. Use an engineering-approved material-product route and document its acceptance criteria.

Why is Nickel 201 separated from Nickel 200?

Nickel 201 is a low-carbon variant used in a different temperature-related selection context. The exact UNS grade and service envelope must be controlled.

Can handheld PMI alone confirm Nickel 201?

Do not rely on PMI alone for the low-carbon requirement. Review MTC chemistry and define laboratory or purchaser verification where the project requires it.

What must be approved before ordering Nickel 201 flanges?

Approve the source material, manufacturing route, dimensions, condition, tests, chemistry verification, marking, traceability, documents, and any deviations from a standard product route.
