Alloy flanges and fittings

Inconel 601 Flanges Manufacturer & Exporter

This Inconel 601 / UNS N06601 flange page is built around a critical procurement distinction: the material-product route must be approved for the actual forged or machined configuration rather than copied from another Inconel grade. Send the flange form, dimensions, class, facing, bore, drawing, thermal environment, source material standard, inspection, documents, quantity, and destination for review.

Engineering discussion

Context before component selection.

N06601 has its own alloy and product-form logic

Inconel 601 is a nickel-chromium alloy with an aluminum addition and is commonly considered where oxidation and other high-temperature corrosion mechanisms matter. That material profile does not mean every piping flange standard automatically includes N06601; product-form eligibility must be checked separately.

Do not assign ASTM B564 by analogy

The current ASTM B564 forging scope lists several nickel alloys but not UNS N06601. A compliant enquiry should therefore name the approved source material, forging or machining route, heat treatment, mechanical and NDE acceptance, dimensions, and engineering approval rather than displaying B564 as an unsupported default.

Oxidation language still needs an operating envelope

Furnace atmosphere, contaminants, temperature cycle, pressure, joint loading, thermal expansion, bolting, and gasket selection affect the flange assembly. Share design and upset conditions so the offer remains tied to the project instead of making a broad maximum-temperature promise.

Standards and release

Define the basis, then document it.

Material-product route

Current ASTM B564 scope does not list UNS N06601. The purchaser, engineer, and manufacturer must agree the applicable source-material, manufacturing, testing, and acceptance route for the flange.

ASME or drawing dimensions

A dimensional standard can define flange geometry but does not create a material specification. State form, size, class, facing, bore, tolerances, and approved drawing independently.

Documented approval

Record material-source standard, manufacturing route, heat treatment, testing, marking, concession or approval references, and release documentation before order placement.

Applications and next steps

Connect the requirement to the right workflow.

Industrial furnace connection reviews

Heat-treatment equipment piping interfaces

Petrochemical thermal-process enquiries

Oxidizing high-temperature environment assessments

Buyer questions

Frequently asked questions.

Is UNS N06601 listed in the current ASTM B564 forging scope?

No. The current published B564 scope does not list N06601, so the material-product and acceptance route must be agreed specifically for the flange requirement.

Can ASME B16.5 alone define an Inconel 601 flange?

No. B16.5 provides flange dimensional and rating controls; the approved material-product route and acceptance criteria must be defined separately.

What should a buyer send for an N06601 flange quotation?

Send drawing or dimensional standard, form, size, class, facing, bore, source-material requirement, thermal environment, tests, documents, quantity, and destination.

How should a non-default material route be documented?

Record the approved source standard, manufacturing and heat-treatment route, tests, traceability, MTC format, marking, deviations, inspection hold points, and final acceptance reference.
