Stainless Steel 304 Flanges Manufacturer & Exporter

Raymond Tube Industries provides a dedicated commercial route for Stainless Steel 304 flanges where the purchase specification calls for Grade F304 rather than a low-carbon dual-grade assumption. Buyers should state the flange form, NPS or DN, pressure class, facing, bore, ASTM and ASME basis, inspection scope, documents, packing, and destination for technical review.

Engineering discussion

Context before component selection.

F304 and F304L are separate purchasing decisions

A request for SS 304 should preserve the ordered F304 identity through quotation, manufacturing records, marking, and certification. If a project permits dual-certified 304/304L material, that acceptance should be written into the RFQ rather than assumed from commercial availability.

General corrosion resistance does not remove service review

Stainless Steel 304 is widely considered for general process and utility systems, but chloride exposure, cleaning chemistry, temperature, fabrication, and crevice conditions remain project decisions. The flange page therefore asks for the actual medium and piping-class basis before a material recommendation is treated as final.

Flange geometry controls commercial comparability

WNRF, blind, slip-on, socket weld, threaded, and lap joint forms cannot be compared from material and size alone. Class, RF or RTJ facing, bore or schedule, gasket interface, dimensional edition, quantity, inspection, and packing should appear on the same RFQ line.

Standards and release

Define the basis, then document it.

ASTM A182 / ASME SA182

Use the stainless forging specification with Grade F304 explicitly stated in the purchase order; do not replace it with F304L or dual certification without buyer approval.

ASME B16.5 / project dimensions

Define NPS, class, flange form, facing, bore, and dimensional edition. Large or drawing-based components require their applicable dimensional route.

Acceptance documents

Tie the MTC, heat number, dimensions, marking, PMI or TPI requirement, packing, and final release record to each line item.

Buyer questions

Frequently asked questions.

Should an SS 304 flange RFQ state F304 or F304L?

State the exact ordered grade. F304, F304L, and dual-certified material should not be treated as interchangeable unless the project specification authorizes that route.

Which standards should be shown for SS 304 flanges?

State the ASTM or ASME material specification separately from the dimensional standard, then add flange form, class, facing, bore, and edition requirements.

Can SS 304 flanges be requested with RF or RTJ facing?

The required facing must be specified with the selected class, gasket system, flange form, and dimensional basis. Applicability is reviewed against the complete configuration.

What documents should a buyer request?

Typical RFQ inputs include MTC, heat traceability, dimensional inspection, marking records, PMI or TPI where required, packing details, and the final release dossier.
