Alloy flanges and fittings

Stainless Steel Flanges Manufacturer & Exporter

Raymond Tube Industries manufactures and supplies stainless steel flanges for process, utility, chemical, marine, energy, and project piping requirements. Buyers can define 304L, 316L, 904L, 254 SMO, or another approved grade together with the flange form, NPS or DN, pressure class, facing, bore, dimensional standard, inspection scope, documentation, packing, and destination. Final grade selection and product acceptance remain governed by the approved purchase specification.

Engineering discussion

Context before component selection.

Choose the grade before comparing flange offers

304L, 316L, 904L, and 254 SMO are not interchangeable purchasing labels. The project environment, corrosion mechanism, fabrication route, piping class, and approved material specification determine which grade enters the RFQ.

Flange form controls the connection

A weld neck flange requires bore and schedule alignment; a blind flange defines a closure; slip-on, socket-weld, threaded, lap-joint, long-weld-neck, and orifice forms introduce different dimensional and inspection questions. State the exact form on each line item.

Class, facing, and bore remain separate decisions

The material grade does not determine pressure class, RF or RTJ facing, gasket interface, bore, or surface finish. These values must come from the piping class, dimensional standard, or approved drawing.

Inspection evidence should follow the risk

Define PMI coverage, dimensional records, NDE, TPI witness points, marking, and MTC requirements before order release. Lot-specific chemistry and mechanical results must be checked against the supplied certificate.

Export release starts at the RFQ

Face protection, segregation, case or pallet requirements, shipping marks, document format, destination, and inspection release should be agreed with the component configuration rather than added after manufacture.

Standards and release

Define the basis, then document it.

ASTM / ASME material route

Confirm the material-product specification and grade for the ordered stainless steel forging rather than applying one standard to every stainless grade.

ASME B16.5

Use for applicable NPS 1/2 through NPS 24 flange dimensions, classes, facings, tolerances, and marking requirements.

ASME B16.47

Use the applicable series and project basis when a large-diameter flange falls outside the B16.5 scope.

Project specification

Piping class, drawing revision, gasket system, surface finish, testing, and acceptance criteria remain order-specific controls.

Buyer questions

Frequently asked questions.

Which stainless steel grades can be specified for flange enquiries?

Common RTI enquiry routes include 304 / 304L, 316 / 316L, 904L, and 254 SMO. The final grade must match the purchase specification and service review.

Which dimensional standard applies to stainless steel flanges?

ASME B16.5 is a common route for applicable sizes, while ASME B16.47, ASME B16.36, or a project drawing may apply to other configurations.

Which stainless steel flange forms can be included in an RFQ?

State weld neck, slip-on, blind, socket weld, threaded, lap joint, long weld neck, orifice, RTJ, or a drawing-based form as required.

Should RF or RTJ facing be stated separately?

Yes. Facing, pressure class, gasket basis, surface finish, bore, and mating pipe details should be explicit in the flange request.

Can PMI and third-party inspection be requested?

Yes. Define PMI scope, TPI agency or witness points, dimensional checks, and required records before quotation and order release.

What documentation should accompany stainless steel flanges?

State the required MTC or EN 10204 certificate type, heat traceability, inspection reports, marking records, packing list, and release documents.

What information produces a complete stainless steel flange quotation?

Provide grade, product form, size, class, facing, bore or schedule, standards, quantity, testing, documents, packing, and destination.
